Wayne Lynch with Keel fin Lennox Head Point 1971
Wayne, with his VW Bug, Red Setter and the Keel board laying on the ground with Lennox Head village in the background. The road ran parallel to the shoreline and when not too wet you could drive almost all the way out to the Point. Many of the homes along the foreshore were the fibro family holiday places of people who lived in Lismore or Casino. The keel was good for down the line surfing but was very restrictive in the short arc turns required in the not so perfect lesser quality waves.
