Turning Point 1970 / 71 - Photo Exhibition

All works are first edition prints numbered.

John Witzig smells Waxmate. Byron Bay 1971.

John Witzig, photographer, founder and Editor of Tracks surfing magazine visiting Byron, at that time the new home of Australian Waxmate. Waxmate was the first surfboard wax made specifically for surfboards in Encinitas California by Mike Doyle, Rusty Miller and Garth Murphy. It had a special scent embedded in it and on the back of the paper label were printed wise sayings. I believe we were proposing to use this photo in a Tracks advertisement.
