Mystery Donut Man in parking lot

There is something about this picture in the Bells parking lot that captures the atmosphere of the era. It was a time of no, or very small, logos in the surfing world. It was cool for surfers to wear St. Vinnie’s clothes before surf fashion had focused into the now standard look where everyone tries to be an individual within the corporate uniform. The 44 gallon drum, the ‘Golden Boy Do-Nuts’ food caravan, the VW Bug car, the hemp rope and the delivery van were icons of the time. And one wonders where was he going.
